In the past, there have been pandemics, but this one isn’t one of them. These are some of the best healthcare marketing campaigns that we’ve seen. It’s all about campaigns to fight HIV and the coronavirus.

1- Patient Experiences at New York-Presbyterian Hospital

What better way to entice new patients than to share the inspiring stories of those you’ve already helped? The New York Presbyterian Hospital is an excellent example of real-life stories to show potential customers what to expect.

Their video marketing strategy for 2013 was based on the success stories of people whom their medical center had saved.

2- Dead Zone Radio: Organ Donor Foundation

It has been working to spread the word about organ donation in South Africa since 1988. In 2017, they came up with a truly brilliant way to get people’s attention. Radio signals go out when cars go into an underground parking garage, so they found this case. A group called the Organ Donor Foundation sent them a message that could have saved their lives when the signal went out. They saw an ODF message as soon as they got into the underground parking lot, telling them to become organ donors.

A Johannesburg based company called Ogilvy & Mather helped MTV develop a way to fight the spread of HIV in South Africa by reaching out to young people who aren’t being told about safe sex by traditional health campaigns.

A campaign was started by MTV on World Aids Day in 2016 to get their (mostly younger) viewers to get checked for HIV. In the beginning, they did something simple that set off a new social media trend. People were told to post a picture of their middle finger with the hashtag #FCKHIV.

Their post was seen more than 1.2 million times in five hours, and #FCKHIV was the top trending topic on Twitter for nine minutes.

One could say that it was a pretty good online campaign.

4- Education about vaccines for COVID-19 – the Ad Council

As the coronavirus pandemic has shown us, communication is important in all industries. But in healthcare, it’s even more critical, as the pandemic shows. Surprisingly, giving more information is the best way to fight false information. The council says so, at least. To clear up any misconceptions concerning vaccinations, they launched a campaign to educate the public. As a result, a flurry of inquiries concerning the COVID-19 vaccination poured in from throughout the world. Vaccines for the coronavirus pandemic will be easy to explain in this manner. This will increase vaccination rates.

5- Pause for a moment at the UN.

We have to talk about the United Nations and their Pause campaign about COVID-19 misinformation. Think about what you want to say before you share. The United Nations started a campaign that asked people to fact check everything they saw on social media to stop the spread of misinformation, conspiracy theories, and fake news about the coronavirus.

The Power of Okay campaign was launched by See Me, Scotland, in 2015. The campaign’s goal was to fight stigma and discrimination against people with mental illnesses, especially in the workplace. In addition to a great video about how important it is to talk to each other, See Me, Scotland also gave workers and brands educational resources to help them understand and fight against mental health stigma. See Me, Scotland employees were also provided excellent teaching tools to assist them to understand and battle mental health stigma.
